1. What it was

Gumpy brought EEG and EMG processing, offline analysis, online experiments, classical machine learning, and deep-learning workflows into an open Python toolbox.

2. My part

Co-author of the peer-reviewed Journal of Neural Engineering paper and contributor to the toolbox work.

3. Decisions

  1. Make research workflows available in a familiar Python environment.
  2. Support both offline exploration and online experimental loops.
  3. Release the software openly so others can inspect, reproduce, and extend it.

4. Outcome

Published in the Journal of Neural Engineering and released as open-source software.
